About US
Our Background
We are Chris & Rachel Pivonka and we fell in love with Goldens and Doodles after bringing home our first golden in 2009. We are a small family breeder and our dogs are part of the family or they are in a wonderful guardian family! Our first litter was whelped in 2016 and we have loved every puppy since! Chris is a physician assistant and Rachel is a stay at home mom, formerly a teacher. Rachel's love for dogs and raising puppies began in her youth as she often visited and helped her grandmother breed and raise AKC Collie puppies on the family farm in Kentucky. Chris has always had a love for animals as well and together we love raising puppies!
Who we are
We are christians and our faith is in the great and awesome God of the Bible and His son Jesus. With each litter we see the miracle of life and thank the Lord for His creation! We pray that our puppies will be a blessing to our families. We love talking about our dogs and puppies but much more about the Lord and His word, and we welcome conversation about Him whether you are a believer or have questions about christianity. Our Process
We take raising healthy and happy puppies seriously. Our adult dogs have each been DNA tested against breed related disease as well as other having other health tests, see each dog's page for specific info. They are very healthy dogs with good temperaments and great pedigrees! The puppies are whelped in our home. With support from our vet, our own breeding and medical experience, and knowledge from other expert breeders we prepare them to go home to their forever family! The first two weeks they are weighed regularly to monitor their weight gain. We also perform Early Numerological Stimulation from day 3 to 16. At two weeks we start a deworming regimen. At four weeks we begin to wean them from the dam. At that time we also add a potty only section to the puppy pen where they learn to use the bathroom. This keeps the puppies cleaner and gives them a jump start on potty training! We also make sure to socialize the puppies with our children, friends and family. When they turn six weeks they have their first shots and vet exam. This is also around the time families with deposits in will make their puppy selection! We also post pictures once a week or more as they grow for you to see! Puppies go to their furever home at 7-8 weeks. Raising the puppies in a clean, loving environment is a lot of work but we truly love and enjoy each puppy!
